We started with an idea. The idea was to find a place to gather together as a family over holidays and family events. A place that felt like home.
Grandma's house got oversaturated pretty fast after the first few grandchildren. The family could not find a place that wasn't a hotel miles away or something that was frankly big enough for all of us. So the idea came about to build one that would be big enough to share family moments when we would gather in Yankton. A place that would feel like home. A place that would be big enough for the whole clan. A place that would be close to the awesome attributes available at the Lewis and Clark resort area.
The idea became a reality when we came across a project from Jon Moser of Moser Construction in Yankton. Jon was working on a spec home at 109 Okie Dokie lane. We had been searching for months for the right spot and 109 Okie Dokie was that right spot. Jon and his team was the right team. It happened so fast and soon we were working closely with Jon on developing the plans and creating the custom space that would become the lake house. Moser Construction completed the project in June 2019 take a look at some of the history below.
We are glad to share our home with others who feel the same need to gather for family and special events. Graduations, Riverboat Days, retirements, hunting trips or holidays whatever the reason is we are happy to use and to share this space with others.
